How we Met by: Steph
Brad and I met in the summer of 2012 at the Lady Antebellum concert. Neither of us initially planned on going to the concert, but we ended up at the same tailgate through mutual friends. After the concert we went to the Grove and danced the night away. The next day Brad asked me to send him a picture of the night before. Little did I know this was his way of getting my phone number. We continued talking throughout the summer, although I was living in Virginia and Brad was living in Cleveland. We made our relationship official over a Facetime call right before the end of summer when we were going to be going back to Pittsburgh. We had our first official date at the Pittsburgh Zoo!
Brad proposed to me right outside of Heinz Field before the Taylor Swift concert. The proposal included a flash mob of over 30 dancers, including Brad and two of the groomsmen. During the week before the concert, Brad kept making excuses about where he was going after work. I was getting irritated, but little did I know he was rehearsing the dance routine with his friends.
The flash mob was performed perfectly to songs by Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan, and Taylor Swift. After the flash mob was over Brad pulled me to the center of the group with our friends and family surrounding us. He gave an amazing speech, complete with multiple Grey’s Anatomy references (my favorite show), before finally popping the question.
side note: if you haven’t see the proposal click CBS Pittsburgh or B96 Kiss or one of the other zillion (only slightly exaggerating) of TV and Radio stations along with a multitude of websites that picked up this amazing couples story.
Their day was magical where family and friends celebrated the evening away where Brad and Steph had their first date – at the Pittsburgh Zoo, with its abundance of twinkle lights, a donuts wedding cake and tables of yellow flowers and lemons. The attention to detail was breathtaking as was our bride Stephanie. Prior to their beautiful outdoor ceremony at Schenley Plaza in Pittsburgh, they decided to take a private moment where Brad would be able to see his soon-to-be bride for the first time. We knew this wedding was going to be special with their care free loving attitude and contagious laughs.
Steph and Brad, thank you both for having us be a part of your big day, we were so honored. Enjoy a peek at your wedding day. ~ Hugs, France
