They went to the same high school and hung with the same friends, but never met. See Shawn is my son … the one that most would call a wild child during his high school years. Laura — she was the one who enjoyed reading books and was in the choir.
Seven years passed and their paths finally crossed while on a party bus heading to a haunted hay ride. That’s how Shawn met Laura. It was Halloween and she wrapped him in toilet paper and things were never the same… The next day – again with friends, they ended up at McFaddens to watch a Steeler game. Left alone they found that they had a lot in common… from that day on their lives intermixed with one another. A friends party. Dinner out with friends. Our garage (which was where everyone hung out). Then on Christmas they made it official — they were together!!
A little over 2 years later, over a romantic home made dinner of bacon wrapped scallops and candle light ~ Shawn asked Laura to be his wife.
We couldn’t be happier and are looking forward to Laura being an official part of our family this coming year!! Love & Hugs to you both (Mom)
