Nick and Carly met through a friend while playing sand volleyball in Cincinnati, (where they both live) exactly four years ago.
Carly… After volleyball we met again at a block party where we talked all night. Then the next day Nick asked me on a date which had started through a bet on the Steeler’s vs Bengal’s game that year. After dating for 2 months and meeting each others families we both knew it was serious.
The Proposal… We went back to the restaurant that we had our first date… After dinner we decided to walk to get another drink. When we exited the restaurant there were blown up emojis representing us and our relationship on the ground, with flowers that were leading into the bar next door… I looked over at him and saw that he was down on one knee and asked me in front of everyone (our whole family) — I said, “Yes!!” and we partied ALL night long! Lol
The Photographer … I’ve known Carly and her family since she was a little girl so what an honor when asked if I would photograph their wedding. Bobby, Dawn and I spent the day with them and their families documenting their day, from the getting ready pics to their 1st Look at the North Shore … then off to Heinz Chapel were we have never seen a more excited and smiling bride. She was so contagious that everyone around her couldn’t help smiling and laughing. The weather as it’s been in Pittsburgh this year wasn’t the best and rain hit hard during the ceremony, but gave us a break for Carly & Nick to go for a ride in her Uncle Tim’s convertible — her expression when she saw the sign her mom (Linda), made for the back of the car — Priceless … the evening continued with everyone enjoying fun and dancing the night away with our newlyweds to the music from Jeff Jimerson and his band Airborne at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Afterward they headed off for an amazing honeymoon in Thailand…
Carly & Nick … wishing you both all the happiness life has to offer in this next adventure together.
