Their story … They went out with separate groups of friends not looking to meet anyone; just a night out on the town with friends. Both were single and not looking to mingle! Through a mutual friend, they wound up at the same place, a bar called Local, in Pittsburgh’s Southside. It wasn’t long after striking up a conversation that Beth found herself asking Bobby if he wanted her number!! As Beth told me her story she said… ” everyone always tells you that you don’t meet your husband or wife in a bar, but our instant chemistry would beg to differ.”
The proposal told by Beth ... We needed a get away, so we planned a trip to Florida for the Fourth of July. When the 4th rolled around, we decided we would go watch the sunset, see some fireworks, and grab dinner. Bobby was obviously ready to go before I was, I had to do my hair, make up and find the perfect Fourth of July outfit! Red, white and blue of course! Finally, after making Bobby wait, I was ready to go. But, he wasn’t. He was outside on the patio, which overlooked a lake. He told me to come out there; he wanted to see if we could see any alligators. He told me to look to the left because he thought he saw something moving around, and when I turned back he was on one knee. Looking up at me, he sweetly asked if I would marry him! After making him wait about 3 minutes—due to the fact that I couldn’t breathe or talk because I was crying tears of joy, and excitement—I finally said YES! Afterward, he told me that he had wanted to propose during the firework show, but that I looked so beautiful at that moment he couldn’t wait any longer to ask me to be his wife ….
The Wedding … We were so honored to have photographed their wedding … the day started off at the Southpointe Hilton and couldn’t have been more beautiful. Beth was gorgeous and beaming in wait to see her soon-to-be husband. Bobby in the room right next door waiting to start his journey with the love of this life. With eyes only for each other they exchanged vows at St. Louise de Marillac in Upper St. Clair followed by a reception at the incredible Bella Sera in Canonsburg.
Many hugs to you both … side note: (This was definitely the biggest wedding party we have ever shot — 27 total!!)
